What are peacekeepers?
Armed forces sent by the United Nations or other international organizations to maintain peace by keeping enemies apart until a crisis can be resolved through diplomacy.
What is National interest?
The interests of the people of a nation. National interests may include economic prosperity, security and safety, and policies that promote shared beliefs and values.
What is peacemaking
Allowing armed forces sent by the United Nations or other international organizations to resolve conflict by using force for no other reasons besides self-defence.
What is the continental shelf
A gently sloping extension of land that surrounds nearly all continents and lies underwater.
What is policy
A plan of action that has been deliberately chosen to guide or influence future decisions.
What is Domestic Policy
A plan of action that guides a government’s decision about what to do within a country. in Canada, domestic policy decisions may include changing federal laws, setting aboriginal land claims, and spending tax revenues.
What is GDP (Gross domestic product)
The value of all goods and services produced in a country annually.
Foreign Policy
A plan of action that guides a government’s decisions about its official relations with other countries. Foreign policy is also called foreign affairs or external relations.
