Q

What are some advantages of LCD monitors? (6)

A
  1. reach maximum brightness almost immediately
  2. sharp images with realistic and vivid colours
  3. better picture definition as they produce a brighter light
  4. thinner screens in construction as LEDs are small
  5. reliable as they last indefinitely
  6. consume very little power, produce very little heat and reduce running costs

Q

What are some advantages of OLED screens? (5)

A
  1. flexible as made of plastic instead of glass
  2. way thinner than LCD
  3. way brighter than LCD and don’t need backlighting, so they consume less power which translates into longer battery life
  4. OLEDs respond 200 times faster than LCDs
  5. Produce truer colours through a bigger viewing angle, LCD has colours darken and disappear if you look from the side
