What is a data set?
A list of recommended data elements with uniform definitions that are relevant for a particular use.
What is a data dictionary?
A descriptive list of the data elements to be collected in an information system or database whose purpose is to ensure consistency of terminology.
What does UHDDS stand for?
Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set
What is the UHDDS?
A core set of data elements that are collected by hospitals on all discharges and all discharge abstract systems.
What is the Uniform Ambulatory Care Data Set?
A data set consisting of a minimum set of patient/client specific data elements to be collected in ambulatory care settings.
