Inflection
When a word changes form and affects function (subject to object like she to her) or meaning (gender change like he to she).
Case
Perform different functions in a sentence (subjective, objective, possessive)
Subjective Case
The subject does the action of the verb (HE broke the window)
Possessive Case
A word that shows possession (HIS book)
Objective Case
The direct object is the person or thing that is directly affected by the action of the active verb (he broke the WINDOW)
Number
Singular (one) or plural (more than one). (student versus students)
Declension
A pattern of inflection. Such as words forming their plural by adding “s” or adding “es”.
Subject and Predicate
The subject is subject of the verb and what modifies the subject. The predicate is everything else including verb, direct object, etc.
Definite Article
Identifies one type in particular (THE student)
Indefinite Article
Does not identify one type in particular (A student)
First Person Singular Pronoun
I , WE
Second Person Singular Pronoun
YOU
Third Person Singular Pronoun
HE , SHE , IT
