Human language is open system governed by complex rules about how sounds and sequences of sounds can be combined to produce an infinite variety of meanings. Other primates’ vocal systems are closed: different calls aren’t combined to produce an infinite variety of meanings.

Yes, a child is equipped from birth with the capacity to reproduce all sounds used by world’s languages and to learn any system of grammar
