Class: anthelmintic

Indication : threadworm, roundworm &; hookworm

Dosage : Threadworm 10mg/kg stat (1g max). Repeat dose after 2 weeks
Roundworm 10mg/kg stat (1g max). Repeat dose after 1 week if heavy infestation
Hookworm 10mg/kg d for 3 days

Tablets can be crushed and mixed with jam

Safe to use in pregnancy

Indications: schistosomiasis
Tapeworm

Dosage: schistosomiasis -20mg/kg q4h for 3 doses
Tapeworm - 5-10mg/kg tds for 1-2 days.

With food. Plenty of water (bitter -gagging).

Mild and transitory adverse effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, malaise, NVD, abdominal pain.

Onchocerciasis

Dosage: scabies - 200mcg/kg days 1&8 or 1,2&8.

              Onchocerciasis- 150mcg/kg stat. Repeat 12months
