14
Q

Extended APU Ground Operations

A

Operations >30 minutes - If temp exceeds 140 the APU shall be shutdown and the transmission fluid allowed to cool for 30 minutes. Fluid can be cooled by operating an engine with rotors turning.

Q

Airspeed limits for Autorotation

A

145 KTAS

17
Q

Airspeed limits for single engine Operations

A

Greater of:

67% of Vne

or

Airspeed for minimum power determined from Chapter 7 charts using the MAX END/MAC R/C lines.

18
Q

Maximum Rearward and Sideward Flight

A

45 KTAS

19
Q

Maximum Airspeed for Stored Jettison

A

Max for stores jettison is 130 KTAS

Hover to 45 KTAS (minimize side slip)

45 to 130 (Ball centered)

20
Q

Maneuvering Limits

A

+/- 30 Pitch
+/- 60 Roll

AWR

+/- 60 Pitch
+/- 120 Roll

21
Q

Excessive Tail Rotor Scissors Load

A

Avoid aggressive directional and lateral control inputs greater than 1 inch per second when conducting combat maneuvers requiring a left turn. This is to prevent excessive tail rotor scissor loads.

22
Q

Excessive Tail Rotor Loads

A

Avoid large pedal step inputs in arresting right hovering/low speed yawing turns greater than 60 per second. This is to prevent excessive tail rotor drive system loads.

23
Q

Flight with Canopy Open

A

Prohibited except for Smoke.Fume elimination

24
Q

Landing Limits

A

7 nose up
12 nose down (9 AWR)
10 Roll

25
Q

Flight into turbulence

A

Flight into known or forecast extreme turbulence or into known severe turbulence is prohibited.

26
Q

Flight into Icing

A

Intentional flight into known or forecast moderate icing is prohibited. Flight into light or trace icing is authorized as a transient condition. If icing is encountered the crew will attempt to exit the condition.

27
Q

Rotor Start/Stop Limitation

A

45 knots

28
Q

Use of Force Trim

A

Force trim will not be turned off except in a failed or partial failed mode.
