Median
When a set of data having a middle number is arranged from LEAST to GREATEST , the middle number is the median. When a set of data having TWO middle numbers is arranged from LEAST to GREATEST , the median is the mean of the two middle numbers.
Mode
The number that occurs most often
Range
The greatest number minus the least number
Line plot
A type of graph that uses a number line to show the number of times an item of data occurs
Stem and leave plot
A type of chart that shows the data organized by place value. The leaves are the ones digits. The stems are the digits to the left of the ones digits.
Outlier
Any number in the data that is much farther away from the largest group of data.
Outcome
The result in a probability experiment
Certain
An outcome that will DEFINITELY occur
Favorable outcome
A result you are looking for
probability
The likelihood of getting a favorable outcome
Probability of a favorable outcome
Number a favorable outcomes
Total number of possible outcomes
Mean
The average = total number or amount
