- Configure nudge value
- Select clip whose contents you want to nudge
- Hold “Control” and press +/- On numeric keypad
Whats the difference between the shift command and nudging?
- The shift command allows you to specify a different offset each time you use it. Nudging always uses the nudge increment value
- Shift command will separate a clip at the selection boundaries if used on a partial clip. Nudging on a partial clip will move the selection, leaving the underlying media changed.
How can you open the shift dialogue box?
Option + H or Edit > SHIFT
How can you duplicate a selection while extending the selection to the end of the duplicate?
- Edit > Selection > Duplicate and extend edit
- Command + Option + Control + Shift + D
How can you scrub using Shuttle mode?
- With scrubber tool selected press “option” then click and hold on any track.
- While holding drag left or right to begin scrubbing
- To Increase speed move further left or right.
- Release the mouse to stop playback
How do you set values for pre and post roll auditioning?
- Specify the Pre and post roll values in the transport window
- Click and drag the pre and post roll flags in the main timebase ruler to set durations for each
- Using the selector tool option click in the edit playlist before and after a selection to set the desired durations.
How do you enable commands keyboard focus mode?
- Click A-Z button in upper right corner of the edit window.
- Press Command + Option + 1
How can you access the Strip Silence window?
Choose Edit > Strip Silence OR Command + U
