energy
The capacity to do work
Kinetic Energy
Energy of an object do to its motion
Potential energy
Energy because of the objects shape, position or condition
Mechanical Energy
The amount of work an object can do because of the objects kinetic and potential energys
Energy Conversion
A change form one form of energy to another
Friction
A force that opposes motion between two surfaces that are in contact
Law of Conservation Of Energy
Energy can not be created or destroyed but can be changed
Nonrenewable Resource
This forms at a much slower rate then it is consumed or used
Fossil Fuel
A nonrenewable energy resourced formed from the remains of organisms
Renewable Resource
This can be replaced at the rate it is consumed
