Acute illness
Characterized by symptoms that have rapid onsets
Chronic illness
Characterized by symptoms that persist for longer than 3 months am show little change over a long period of time
Therapeutic procedures
Is preformed to treat a patients condition with the goal of eliminating it or promoting as much recovery as possible
Laboratory testing
The analysis and study of specimen obtained from patients to assist in diagnosing and treating disease
