There are three seasons: mild to cool from October through February, very hot March through May and the monsoon season June through September.
How do natural resources influence what is produced in South Asia?
Rich soil enables farmers to produce peanuts and other food crops. Cotton is grown and used to manufacture textiles and clothing. Sri Lanka and the Maldives Islands produce tea, coconuts, and rubber for export. Fishing is a major industry in southern India.
What problem did the Vedas solve for archaeologists?
Although the Aryans left few artifacts, archaeologists were able to learn about the Aryan culture from the stories and songs of the people, which were written in the Vedas.

Positive; the people of Persia and India shared their cultures and knowledge, which expanded the progress of civilization. India was no longer cut off from other lands by its northern mountains.
Why did the Mauryan Empire come to an end?
Rulers after Ashoka were less successful at keeping the empire under control. Conflicts broke out between regions. These areas eventually ruled themselves.
What development in mathematics took place during the Gupta Empire?
A number system we use today, which includes nine digits, zero and the decimal.
How might Chandragupta Maurya’s childhood experiences have influenced him as an emperor?
Since he grew up as a servant, he knew what it was like to be from a lower class. This might be why he treated his people with compassion when he was an emperor.
