Divide by 100%. Therefore, move the decimal point two places to the left

Change the % sign to a dominator of 100, simplify the fraction if possible

Multiply by 100%
To convert a decimal to a percentage
Multiply by 100%. Therefore, move the decimal point two places to the right
To express one quantity as a percentage of another
Write a fraction with the ‘part amount’ as the numerator and the ‘whole’ amount as the denominator. Then multiply it by 100%
To find a percentage of a quantity
Express the required percentage as a fraction. Change the ‘of’ into a multiplication sign. Multiply it by the quantity.
