All CFRD equipment inspected ?

Any CFRD eQUIPMENT GROSSLY CONTAMINATED ?
SHOULD be DOUBLE SEALED in CLEAR BAGS (not red bags) and exchanged at CFRD DEPOT
DEPOT OFFICER WILL NOTIFY TECH SERVICES
BUNKER GEAR /TOOLS contaminated exchanged with SOC
EACH COMPANY is responsible for ?
DOUBLE BAGGING and depositing all red bag material at the CFRD DEPOT
Suction units should be on?
CONSTANT CHARGE
SIGN PLACED on the DOOR of compartment containing BULK of CFRD equipment
Defibrillator displaying _____in the UPPER RIGHT hand corner is OPERATIONAL and ready for use?
BLACK HOUR GLASS
Defibrillator displaying FLASHING OR SOLID ____ and /or emits a chirping sound indicates that the defibrillator is NOT READY FOR USE and should be exchanged at the cFRD depot?
RED X
-CFRD DEPOT should notify Tech Services for replacement
All members of CFRD companies shall carry?
POCKET FACE MASK with one way valve and Safety shield kit
- Pocket face mask should be cleaned and disinfected after use
- one way valve should be red bagged after each use
-Decon and cleaning supplies carried on apparatus to allow members to clean up after response
Can we use EXPIRED Electrodes (PADS)?
NO ..
-units shall rotate stock to ensure the oldest “in date” pads are used first
If DEFIBRILLATOR (not card…just the unit) fails to operate properly , it will IMMEDIATELY BE PLACED OOS…
- bring to CFRD DEPOT and exchange for spare
- UNUSED DATA CARD should be removed and stall in REPLACEMENT DEFIB
- cFRD depot will call tEch services for replacement
- DEFIBS have PREVENTATIVE MAINTeNAnCE STICKERS on front…if date is CURRENT, unit may remain in service
If DEFIB MALFUNCTIONS :
- ALL EQUIPMENT REMAIN TOGETHER
- includes defibrillator , cables, data card , battery and pads (only time this remains intact)…
- place in double clear PLASTIC BAGS with an RT-2 , copy of PCR and an UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE REPORT …
- -THIS POLICY should be followed for all medical equipment…TECH SERVICES shall be notified forthwith
Suction Unit/Fluid in collection bottle of unit:
- remove bottle along with tubing and place in red bag for disposal
- connect new bottle and tubing
- Red Z placed in NEW BOTTLE
Fluid in SUCTION UNIT:
- remove and dispose of bottle and tubing
- placed suction unit OOS
- PLACE in double sealed clear plastic bag labeled with biohazard label
- do NOT put new bottle or tubing on suction unit, they will be replaced after unit is DECONNED
- take to CFRD depot for exchange
- Depot Officers shall not accept suction units from other companies, unless properly packaged
