Host
parasite that lives inside the body of its host organism
Endoparasite
parasite that lives outside the body of its host organism
Ectoparasite
a member of a large group of unicellular microorganism
Bacteria
an abnormal and infectious protein that converts normal proteins into prion proteins
Prion
a very simple microorganism that infects cells and may cause disease
Virus
a toxin or other foreign substance which induces an immune response in the body
