Where can the atomic number be found and what does it mean?
Atomic number is the whole number on top of the symbol.
Is equal to the number of protons in an atom.

Mass number represents the number of particles in the nucleus

Measured numbers are the numbers obtained when you measure a quantity such as your heigh weight or temperature.
What are significant figures?
All non zero digits and zeros between digits
Not zeros that act as placeholders
Zeros at the end of a decimal number
What are the rules for rounding off?
4 or less is dropped
5 or more is increased by 1 digit
What is the equation for density?
Density is mass divided by volume
How is matter classified?
By its composition; pure substances and mixtures
How is a pure substance classified
Classified by; elements and compounds
What is an element
Composed of one type of atom
What is a combination of pure substances
A mixture
How is energy measured
