Shows the features of the earth surface.

Uses pictures to show information. Each picture stands for an amount of something.

It has lines that show political or government boundaries.
What is a weather map?
They tell information about the weather.
What is an organizational chart?
Are used to show how things are organized. Information is presented in boxes.
What is another name for a circle graph?
Pie graph.
What is another way to call the map legend?
Map key.
How are major highways identified?
Dark lines.
How are secondary roads identified?
Light lines.
In a bar graph, what are dots used for?
To show how much there is of something.
What are road maps?
Shows major highways and secondary roads.
What are tables?
Used to show facts that would be difficult to understand quickly and accurately if they were presented in written form.
What are two ways in which distance is presented in a map scale?
Mile or kilometers or both.

It uses bars to show the relationship between sets of facts.

It shows relationship between sets of facts.
