She vows not to get too close to Peeta because he is a Games rival despite his kind behaviour.

She was forced to provide for her family by hunting. By living by her wits, she allowed herself and family to survive

How does Katniss’s changing attitude throughout Chapter 4?
A
Katniss starts with being skeptical, but then realizes that Peeta is helping her survive. She shortly sees Peeta as an ally, until she remembers that since Peeta is fighting hard to survive which means he is fighting hard to kill her
