It says that the verb has to be conjured to match the plurality or singularity of the subject

A
- unnecessary information phrases never contain the subject
- prepositional phrases never contain the subject or the verb
- group nouns are often singular whilst sounding plural

A
Simply looking for context and the tense that was used before can give the right answer

How to use the irregular verbs with “a” or “u”?
A
- with has, have or had: use the u version
- with none of those: use the a version
