Cranial Cavity

Rib cage: lungs, heart, aorta, vena cava, part of trachea and esophagus. Chest ABOVE the diaphragm
Abdominal cavity
Stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, small intestine, and most of the large intestine. Torso BELOW the diaphragm
Pelvic cavity
Bladder, portions of large intestine, internal reproductive organs
Abdominal Quadrants
The naval is the main point of reference
Right upper quadrant (RUQ)
Contain most of the liver, gallbladder, and part of the small and large intestine
Left upper quadrant (LUQ)
Contains most of the stomach, spleen, part of the small and large intestine, part of the liver
Right lower quadrant (RLQ)
Appendix, part of small and large intestine, and the urinary bladder
Left lower quadrant (LLQ)
Part of the small and large intestine, and the urinary bladder
