point of origin
place where all transformation are executed in relation to a fixed point.
4 ways to make transformations
click transformation tool and click and drag anywhere on the artboard, double click for transformation tool, click transform tool and click artboard, click transform tool press alt and then the artboard.
free transform
applies an eight handled bounding box to a selected image.
transform panel
displays information about the size, orientation, and location of one or more selected objects.
x and y coordinates
x is the horizontal y is the vertical.
shear tool
hidden behind scale tool- shears at an angle
concentric
refers to objects that share the same center point.
outline stroke command
converts a stroked path into a closed path that is the same width as the original stroked path
compound shape
2 or more paths that are combined in such a way that holes appear where the path overlaps
pathfinders
helps you combine path in a variety of ways.
add to shape area
combines multiple objects into one object into a single merged object
subtract from shape area
where the are overlaps.
intersect shape area
creates a single merged object from the area where 2 or more objects overlap.
minus back
delete the backrest object from he frontmost object
divide
divides an object into its component filled faces
