Myometrium
The smooth muscle tissue of the uterus.
Fimbriae
A series of threads, fingerlike production at the end of the fallopian tube near the ovary.
Cervix
The narrow neck like passage forming the lower end of the uterus.
Vagina
A tube that is composed of muscle and membranes. Extends from the vestibule to the uterus.
Clitoris
The small organ of erectile tissue that has numerous sensory nerves.
Menopouse
Cessation of menstrual cycles that usually occurs in mid-life or later.
Uterine Fibroid
Benign tumors made up of muscle cells and other tissues that grow within the wall of the uterus, manifesting as a single growth or cluster.
LEEP
A procedure that removes abnormal tissues by cutting it away using a thin wire loop that carries an electrical current.
Myomectomy
Surgery that removes uterine fibroids without removing healthy tissue.
Contraception
Method of reducing the risk of pregnancy; Also called Birth Control.

(Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) Inflammation of the vagina, cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes caused by several STDs if they are left untreated.
Dysmenorrhea
Painful abdominal cramps during menstruation.

Hollow, pear shaped, muscular organ located anterior portion of the female pelvic cavity.

Hysterectomy
Surgical removal of the uterus.
Urethra
Mucsculmembranous tube extending from the bladder to the urinary meatus.
Scrotum
Pouch like structure behind the penis that contains two testes.
Testes
Two oval shaped organs in the scrotum in which sperm and testosterone are produced.
Endometriosis
Condition in which the endometrium is found outside the uterus, usually in the pelvis or abdominal cavity.
Fallopian Tubes
- Structures that extend laterally from either side of the uterus.
- Serve as ducts to move ova from Ovary-Uterus
- Move sperm from the uterus towards the ovary.
Hydrocele
Painless buildup of watery fluid around one or both testicles that cause the scrotum or groin area to swell.
Vulva
Structure im the female reproductive system made of: •Mons Pubis •Labia Majora •Labia Minora •Vestibule •Clitoris
