S/S of dehydration in a child
A
- poor muscle tone (limp)
- red, warm, dry skin, could be ashen or mottled
- poor skin turgor with tenting, dry mucus membrane
- sunken fontanels, sunken eyes
- decreased urine output, intense thirst
- poor or no response to mother
- brief Hx of diarrhea
- crying without tears
