How long does a unit have to acknowledge a dispatch message before the dispatcher will request an acknowledgement via the voice alarm?

An alert signal (one-tone dash) is transmitted to prepare units that an announcement requiring their response is to follow. The Voice Alarm is also used when a unit fails to acknowledge a teleprinter dispatch message within 20 seconds. The dispatcher then requests verbal acknowledgment via Voice Alarm.
How does a member transmit a message via the voice alarm to a the dispatcher?

A member transmits a calling signal by depressing and releasing the “push to talk” button on the handset. When the dispatcher acknowledges, the member depresses the “push to talk” button on the handset and proceeds with the message, releasing the button when finished.
How do we report any problems with the voice alarm system?
3.1.4
Members shall promptly report any problems with Voice Alarm equipment to the company officer. Company officers shall notify the supervising Dispatcher by phone of any problems or if the test of voice alarm is not received in quarters.
After a company receives a response via the telephone and the OOD has any doubts about the message what should he do?
Note:
If there are any doubts about a telephone message from a dispatcher, the officer on duty should check the validity of the dispatch by calling the Borough Communications Office to verify the message.
