Q

Explain how to prepare a slide of plant tissue (onion skin)

A
  1. Use the forceps (tweezers) to take a layer of skin from the onion.
  2. place your onion skin on a glass slide.
  3. Drop a few drops of iodine or methylene blue to dye the onion skin to make it easier to see under the microscope.
  4. put your cover slip on to the glass slide with your onion skin and gently put pressure on the cover slip to get rid of any air holes.

[5. Put slide under microscope.
6. Examine under microscope]
