What is discrimination?
Treating individuals or groups unfairly or differently because of certain characteristics such as race, religion, etc…
What are human rights?
Rights that protect a person from unfair treatment by other individuals and governments, but are not always upheld by a country’s justice system.
What is suffrage?
the right to vote in political elections
What is a feminist?
One who believes in the social, economic, and political inequality of the sexes.
What was the turning point for women’s rights?
World war 1
What was the person’s case?
Women were not considered legal people, so 5 dteemrined women decided to appealed this desicion to the highest court of the moment which was the british court. In 1929, this court overuled the decison and said that women were indeed legal people and could apply for offcie jobs.
what is pay equity?
Equal payment for work evaluated as equal work.
What is sexual harassment?
unwelcome actions or conduct of a sexual nature toward anoother person
