Mouth
Where does this happen in the digestive process?
pH 1-2 protein digestion begins helps with mineral absorption leaves as chyme.
Stomach
Where does this happen in the digestive process?
First part of the small intestine pH8 most digestion finishes here (ends) all absorption occurs here.
Duodenum
Where does this happen in the digestive process?
Main site of digestion and absorption due to the villi which increase surface area 6000X
Small intestine
Where does this happen in the digestive process?
3 1/2 ft long no villi or enzymes present final absorption of water.
Large intestine
Where does this happen in the digestive process?
Storage of feces until deification.
Rectum
