Why is ensuring justice important?
- gives Singaporeans and foreigners the confidence to safely live and work in SIngapore
- important for maintaining order
- without faith in justice and the judicial system people will not obey laws
What is an example of how justice is ensured in Singapore?
- personal protection orders (PPO)
- if family violence has occured, family justice courts hear applications for PPOs
- if granted, retain persons can be legally forbidden from entering the applicants house or part of the house
