Q

Projectile

A
  • Any object launched into the air that is subjected to gravity
    • An object dropped from rest
    • Object thrown vertically upwards
    • Object thrown upwards at an angle
  • Follow a curved path called a parabola
  • Horizontal velocity for projectiles is constant due to neglected air resistance

Q

Objects Projected Horizontally

A
  • Initial velocity= final velocity
  • Initial Vy= 0m/s (becomes more negative over time)
  • No acceleration

Q

Projectile Points of Interest

A
  • Time of flight (time is shared between X and y)
  • Maximum heigh: reached when velocity is 0)
