Material culture
Refers to the objects or belonging of a group of people.
Culture
The beliefs and behaviors a social group shares.
Nonmaterial culture
Consists of the ideas, attitudes, and beliefs of a society
Ethnocentrism
Evaluating and judging another culture based on how it compares to ones own culture norms
Cultural imperialism
Deliberate imposition of ones own cultural values on another cultures
Cultural relativism
The practice of assessing a culture by it’s own standards rather than viewing it through the lens of ones own culture
Xenocentrism
The opposite of ethnocentrism. A belief that another culture is superior to ones own.

The way society is actually based on what occurs and exists.

Giving their support or approval or permission

Casual behaviors that are generally and widely conformed to

Norms that embody the moral views and principles of a group
