What are the stages of investigation?
Stage one crime detection,
stage to the preliminary investigation,
stage three the follow up investigation,

What is reactive crime detection?
This is the most common reaction in law enforcement where citizens are the original contact
What is proactive crime detection?
Where law enforcement is the first initial person on scene.
What is the preliminary investigation?
Preliminary investigations involved in the initial collection of all information and evidence that is readily available following the discovery of a suspected criminal offense.
What is am ROI
Report of investigation
Results of any follow up investigative efforts in any or legally admissible information.
What is evidence that is easily perishable or destroyed?
Transient evidence
What is logistics map?
A rough sketch outline and key areas of the crime scene.
What is the crime scene CORE?
This is the primary area where the crime was committed and contains the bulk of the evidence it is usually marked in the shape of a square.
What is a peripheral crime scene?
This can be referred to as the inner area and contains shell casings foot prints fingerprints and other evidence deposited before or after the crime was committed entry and exit past the crime scene as well this will be Mark in a circular pattern.
What is the outer area?
This area extends beyond the inner area and is establish in order to locate possible evidence that has not been previously discovered and to keep the media another onlookers away from the activity taking place inside the crime scene.
What is a macroscopic scene?
When a crime scene contains two scenes a primary and a secondary it is referred to as above.
What is oblique lighting?
Oblique lighting is from the side and in black-and-white.
