Chapter 3 Flashcards
How do you call your research design; why do you think it is the most appropriate?
Support with RL
Who are your participants?
Our participants are dentists practicing in Bulacan
What criteria did you use in determining the sample of your study?
the qualified population or subject of the study must meet eligibility criteria- a dentist practicing in the time of pandemic within the scope of Bulacan.
What type of sampling did you use; Is it probability or non-probability?
non-probab
Why do you think it is the most appropriate for your sampling procedure?
practicality issues reason out
What is your research instrument?
- Adapted and modified survey questionnaires
2. Structured interview questions
Explain the flow of the research procedure?
The researchers sent a cover letter that states a request for participation and it describes the purpose and main points of the study. From 1 primary data source, the sample could reach an ideal size of 30 through referrals and recommendations. The newly gathered respondents were regarded as the informants. After the numerical data was conferred, it was followed by an interview to further validate and give contextual details about the study. From then, combined quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed to give a rich and factual interpretation.
Do you think it is enough to gather the data to validate your findings?
Yes it is enough because the quantitative data we’ve gathered through the survey questionnaire was validated by the interview we conducted to have a deep comprehension of our study
How did you ensure the validity of your questionnaire?
state sources of studies
interview validated
How did you gather the data?
the survey, interview, tools
What ethical considerations did you follow for gathering research confidentiality?
cover letter and suchhh
How did you ensure the validity of your data? (scale)
We didn’t use any scale in our research because there is no need to. Our questions are dichotomous, multiple-choice, and multi-select type of questions that can be measured through percentages. But, we made sure to put aside personal biases and manipulation of data. Each respondent who has participated in our study is truly a segment or a part of the population we had aimed to investigate.
What statistical treatment did you use; Why did you use that statistical tool?
