Criminal offences that involve using force or deception to obtain, damage or destroy property

Burglary, theft, fraud, shoplifting or obtaining property by deception

What is kidnapping defined as?
A person leads, takes, entices or detains any person with intent to demand from that person or any other person, any payment by way of ransom for the return of that person, with intent to gain advantage from detaining that person
What is arson defined as?
Destroying or damaging property by fire
When is a person guilty of robbery?
If they steal, and in order to do so, use force on any person or seek to put any person in fear that they will be subjected to force
Why is robbery both a crime against the person and a crime against property?
It involves causing harm or threatening to cause harm to another person, as well as depriving the victim of property
