Bariatric Surgery
Weight loss surgery.
Areola
The circular area of darker pigmentation surrounding the breast nipple.
Blepharoplasty
A plastic surgery procedure that removes excess skin and or fat in the upper or lower eyelids.
Breast Implants
A procedure used to increase the size of the breasts using synthetic material such as silicone or saline implants.
Circumareolar
Around the circumference of the areola.
Classic Forehead Lift
A lift technique involving a coronal incision that follows a heap gone like pattern slightly behind the natural hairline.
Closed Rhinoplasty
Surgery if the nose involving internal incisions which do not leave a visible scar.
Conjuctiva
The mucous membrane that lines the eyelids.
Deviated Nasal Septum
A condition in which the middle wall inside the nose deviates into the airway passages it can cause problem with breathing through the nose.
Dorsum
The top profile of the nose.
Electrocautery
The use of an electrical device to cut the skin or to seal blood vessels to control bleeding during surgery.
Endonasal
Of or pertaining to the inside of the nose.
Endoscopic
Describes a surgical technique in which a viewing instrument is used to allow the procedure to be done via numerous small incisions.
Graves Disease
A form of hyperthyroidism.
Inframammary Crease
The place on the female body where the breast meets the chest wall.
