Vestigial Structures
Remnants of features that served important functions in the organism’s ancestors
Convergent evolution
Independent evolution of similar features in different lineages
Analogus
Similar function but not common ancestry ( convergent evolution)
Biogeography
Geographic distribution of a species affected by continental drift
Endemic species
Found nowhere else in the world
