The first battle of the River Marne
During the September of the year of 1914 this battle caused the Allies to push the German line back some 40 miles.
No-Mans land
This was land between the 2 lines of trenches that strewn with mines as well as barbed wire.
trench Warfare
This type of warfare was emerged primarily on the western front. Battles began with massive artillery barrages then the soldiers went “over the top” of the trenches and charged across no-mans land towards the enemy trench’s.
