The girls are very nice, they take Huck in. So Huck start feels ashamed because he is working with Duke and Dauphin.

Tom Sawyer romances things and is good at making up situations. Tom reads a lot that’s why he has a good imagination. However, Huck is a realist, and he is uneducated. Because of that Huck is proud of what he made and puts himself equal with Tom.

He thought he had lost the duke and the dauphin.
