He was a founding figure of Black nationalism, the idea that Black people around the world should take pride in their own culture and create their own institutions separate from white society.
Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti
Two Italian immigrants, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, were charged with murder of a paymaster in Braintree, Massachusetts. They were convicted in a trial and sentenced to death by Judge Webster Thayer
Pancho Villa
Pancho Villa was a general in the Mexican Revolution. Pancho attempted to overthrow the Mexican Government.
Treaty of Versailles
The US Senate famously failed to ratify the Treaty of Versailles, meaning that the League of Nations did not have official approval of the US, even though President Wilson was one of its principle creators.
