Sept. 1, 1939: Germany invades Poland from the West, and Russia invades Poland from the East.

Allies

Appeasement; Great Britain allowed them.

Czechoslovakia, Austria-Hungary, any German-speaking countries, Poland, and the Netherlands.

He thought he was stronger/superior. Stalin and Hitler had different beliefs.
