What are greenhouse gasses (GHGs)

A

Includes C02, water vapour, methane, and nitrous oxide that interact with infrared radiation and when present in the atmosphere have the effect of warming the climate.
Without naturally occuring GHGs the earth would be 10 degrees cooler and life would not have evolved as it has.

A

The Principles for Responsible investment. Started in 2006 when Kofi Annan invited group of investors from 12 countries to join.
Aim for consultants and advisers to understand the investment implications of ESG issues and turn them into investment recommendations because their advice is often accepted with little hesitation.

  2. We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into ownership policies and practices
  3. We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest
  4. Promote acceptance and implementation of the principles within the investment industry.
  5. We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the principles.
  6. We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the principles. (Annual reporting)
