Chapter 2 - Section 3 Flashcards
Biconditional Statement
A statement that has a true conditional and converse.
Must work in both directions. And needs to be TRUE!!!!!!!!!
Write as a conditional and converse statement.
A ray is an angle bisector if and only if it divided an angle into two congruent angles.
Conditional: If a ray is an angle bisector, then the two angles are congruent.
Converse: If two angles are congruent, then a ray is an angle bisector.
Write as a biconditional statement.
Conditional: If the sum of the measures of two angles is 180, then the two angles are supplementary.
Converse: If two angles are supplementary, then the sum of the measure of the two angles is 180.
Two angles are supplementary if and only if the sum of the measures of the two angles is 180 degrees.
