  • quoting someones work, without acknowledgement
  • cutting and pasting text or diagram or material from internet without acknowledgement
  • paraphrasing someone by altering a few words without acknowledgement
  • collaborating with others and not attributing the assistance
  • wrongly referencing, within the text and reference list (e.g. when student pretend to read an original source, but knowledge derived from secondary source)
  • using materials written by others such as professional essay writing services (ghostwriting)
  • self-plagiarizing (submittting sth you have already submitted (partly or fully) for another assessment
