IMPAIRMENT
a condition or malfunction of a body part that interferes with optimal functioning
CHRONIC
a frequent or repeated illness; can also be a lengthy or permanent status, as in chronic disease or dysfunction
HEALTH ASSESSMENT
the process of gathering and evaluating information about an individuals state of health
ATYPICAL
unusual; different from what might commonly be expected
OBSERVATION
to inspect and take note of the appearance and behavior of other individuals
SYMPTOMS
changes in the body or it’s functions that are experienced by the affected individual
ANECDOTAL
brief notes describing a persons observations
DIAGNOSIS
the process of identifying a disease, or illness or injury from its symptoms

the average age most children are able to perform a given skill
