Activated: sympathetic nervous system - mediates the 4 F’s of behaviour; fight, flight, fright & sex (mediates vigilance, arousal, activation, mobilization)
- adrenal glands secrete norepinephrine & epinephrine
De-activated: Parasympathetic nervous system: resting, repairing, growth & digestive activities.
