What is commitment in SVP?

A

The work of the society involves much person-to-person contact. It is committed to respect the dignity of all people. The volunteers give up a certain amount of time each week and do all they can. They also make a small donation at the end of each meeting to help with the cost of running the society.

-Christian organisation working with poor and disadvantaged
-council meets every 6 weeks

-join to spread message of Jesus Christ
-vision is to look after the weakest in society, and to love them and God as we love ourselves

-volunteers carry out work in their free time

-visiting hospitals/homes/prisons/
