How does a steroid and amine hormone work
A
Steroid and amine hormones diffuse into the target cell and combine with a receptor protein, which may be on the mitochondria, on other organelles or in the nucleus. e complex formed by the hormone and receptor activates genes controlling the formation of particular proteins.
