To what extent was the League of Nations a success?

The League failed. Countries still fought and epically disagreed despite the League’s overall governing.

The League failed, to an extent. There was an international trading that resembled countries co-operation. However, even under the rule of the League: France and Britain disagreed and didn’t want the same thing in the Corfu crisis.

They downright failed! Germany was mad at being the only country to disarm, but no other country wanted to take the lead disarming, so nobody disarmed.
Opinional: Did the League succeed or fail in improving living conditions?
They succeeded! Dispite their other failings the League excelled in this field: the International Labour Organisation and the Health Committee were proof of this.
What did the Depression create?
Economical problems that led to political problems later on.

What was the Abyssinian crisis?
A situation where the Italian dictator, Mussolini, invaded Abyssinian in 1935. The League of Nations, well, let’s just say, didn’t deal with it quite right. So much so that it was the main cause for World War 2!

The League’s parliament. Every country in the League sent a representative to the Assembly, which met once a year. Discions made by the Assembly were required to be unanimous, meaning all the members had to agree.

What was the League’s council?
It was a smaller group than the Assembly. It met in cases of emergency, but other than that, 5 times a year. Permanent members of the council had a veto, this could stop the council acting.

A process where a country give up military weapons and vehicles, including ships, guns, tanks, etc.

It involved Japan.
What is military force?
A process of using the power of an army to make a country agree to terms or back off another country. Often used as a last resort after economic sanctions.

It’s where EVERYONE agrees.
