Anterior - Toward the Front (biped)

Rostral Vs. Caudal
Rostral - Toward the nose
Causal - Toward the tail
Proximal Vs. Distal
Proximal - Closer to the point of attachment
Distal - Farther from the point of attachment
Palmar vs. Plantar
Palmar - back side of front feet (from carpus down)
Plantar - Back side of back feet (from tarsus down)
Peripheral vs. central
peripheral - close to outside surface/periphery
central - toward the center of the body
