Compatible numbers
These are numbers that are easy to multiply mentally.
Product
This is the answer to a multiplication problem.
Power of 10
This is a number like 10, 100, 1000 and so on. It is the result of using only 10 as a factor.
Factor
A number that is multiplied by another number.
Prime Factorization
This is a way of expressing a composite number as a product of its prime factors.
Distributive Property
To multiply a sum by a number, you can multiply each add ends by the same number and add the products.
Exponent
In a power, this number represents the number of times the base is used as a factor.
Power
A number obtained by raising a base to an exponent.
Base
In a power this is the number used as the repeated factor.
Composite
A whole number that has more than two factors
Prime numbers
A way of expressing a composite number as a product of its prime factors
Squared
A number with two identical factors
Cubed
A number raised to the third power 10x10x10 or 10^3
