Q

Testing vs assessment Assessment

A

Assessment: - Maloney and Ward (1976): “a process of solving problems (answering questions) in which psychological tests are often used as one of the methods of collecting relevant data” - “The gathering and integration of psychology‐related data for the purpose of making a psychological evaluation, accomplished through the use of tools such as tests, interviews, case studies, behavioural observation, and specially designed apparatuses and measurement procedures” (Cohen & Swerdlik, p. 3) Is much broader than just testing
